ZIV consolidates its position in Greece with a new contract with IPTO.

• New order for high voltage telecom systems

ZIV has been awarded another order to supply Power Line Carrier Communications Systems to the National Transmission Operator IPTO. In the previous tender, the Spanish company, specialized in high tech solutions for transmission and distribution systems, was also selected as a reference supplier for high voltage communication systems. Under the terms of this new agreement, ZIV will provide universal power line carrier systems to communicate with the substations, for both analogue and digital signals.

The OPU model selected to cover the IPTO necessities includes OFDM and QAM Modulation, double power supply and integrated teleprotection function, in addition to the usual voice and data services of these kind of devices.

The scope of the contract includes a five-day intensive training course for a telecommunication engineering team. ZIV consolidates its position with this new agreement in Greece, where it has also built a strong relationship with many local EPC contractors and system integrators who are active on renewable projects. Greece intends to increase the share of renewable energy in electricity consumption from 29.2% to 61% and the share of energy efficient transport from 6.6% to 19%, according to its final National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) for the period 2021-2030.
